Powder River Experience

This 24,000 acre working cattle ranch is perfect for guests who want a real taste of western life, complete with calving, branding, and weaning. An overnight pack trip leads guests to an old log cabin deep in the valley and through back country. The amenities here are scarce, but the experience is raw and as western as it gets. Skiing opportunities are nearby as well as historical indian grounds, including Custer’s Battlefield and Fetterman Massacre. A newly implemented Cowboy School is available for rigorous lessons in horsemanship and range management.
